ESCALAE AT THE WORKSHOP ON EDUCATION QUALITY AT THE AUTONOMOUS UNIVERSITY OF BARCELONA, 25 MARCH 2010

 

The workshop on education quality organised by the Autonomous University of Barcelona for the Master’s Degree on Education Planning and Management was held on 25 March 2010 as part of the module on Education Quality and School Management.

Montserrat Antón, Deputy Head of the Department of Education Sciences at the University, presented the session, which was attended by the 16 students on the Master’s course, heads of several preschool, primary and secondary schools from Sant Cugat del Vallès. The Head of Education at Sant Cugat del Vallès Town Council was also present.

Escalae was presented as this session as a complementary tool to other organisational quality systems studied on the Master’s course. The presentation was led by Federico Malpica, Director of Escalae, and Silvia Benitez, Director of Centrum Consulting, one of the leading implementers of the system in Barcelona.

Manel Martín, Head of the IES Mollet secondary school, offered some ideas based on his experience of implementing the Escalae system at his school.
